Each concave patch has an adhesive backing and a small iron piece in the center. The iron piece is not magnetic. This creates a light outward pull at the sides of the nose without placing the clip inside the nostrils. A patch positioning tool can be used to align the patches before attaching the clip. The nose clip is reusable, while the adhesive patches are replaced after use. If the patch feels firm when removing it, dampening the edge with warm water can make peeling easier.
